Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an Embedded Hardware Engineer to join a diverse engineering team driving new product innovation. You will help translate requirements into test plans and execute automated test equipment, ensuring testability and manufacturability across the lifecycle.

Qualifications include a BS in Electrical Engineering or EE Technology, strong analog/digital/embedded hardware knowledge, and hands-on proficiency with test equipment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.
  • Strong understanding of analog, digital, and embedded hardware principles.
  • Skilled in using test equipment (oscilloscopes, DVMs, function generators, logic/protocol analyzers) for troubleshooting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; able to present technical information clearly.
  • Works effectively in both small teams and global project environments.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven; able to set and achieve goals with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with a diverse engineering team (hardware, firmware/software, mechanical, manufacturing, and QA) to drive new product innovation.
  • Participate in Pre-Product Innovation (PPI), New Product Innovation (NPI), and Continuous Product Innovation (CPI) initiatives.
  • Help translate product requirements into a product test plan, and then into the execution of Automated Test Equipment and test process.
  • Collaborate with the Test and Manufacturing teams to ensure testability and manufacturability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Assist in development, build test equipment, debug hardware issues, and implement improvements, hands-on.
  • Apply SAFe principles to improve workflows, reduce design cycle times, and enhance overall product quality.
  • Own day-to-day project tasks, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met on schedule.
  • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and external vendors to track progress and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to project documentation, risk assessments, and change management processes.
