Job summary

Sunrise Medical is seeking an Experienced Test Engineer in Madera, CA to conduct engineering tests verifying product performance, reliability and safety. You will document results and ensure compliance with industry standards as part of our R&D team.

The role demands hands-on testing, data analysis and the ability to develop test fixtures and procedures, collaborating with engineers to support product verification and validation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • Experience in engineering testing preferred.
  • Experience with measurement equipment and instrumentation preferred.
  • Ability to collect, analyze and interpret data.
  • Strong technical writing skills, including preparation of test reports.
  • Ability to safely operate and maintain laboratory and test equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct product testing in accordance with standards and test protocols applicable for wheelchairs.
  • Interpret standard requirements and translate them into appropriate test methods and fixtures.
  • Develop and maintain test fixtures, test equipment, instrumentation and data acquisition systems used for product testing.

  • Investigate test failures and product issues using root-cause analysis.

Job Summary

Responsible for conducting and documenting engineering tests to verify and validate product performance, reliability and safety, and compliance with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Conduct product testing in accordance with series of standards and test protocols applicable for wheelchairs
  • Interpret standard requirements and translate them into appropriate test methods and fixtures
  • Develop and maintain test fixtures, test equipment, instrumentation and data acquisition systems used for product testing

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
