Job summary

Tendeg is seeking a Test Engineer to contribute to the test process for spacecraft assemblies at the subsystem and system levels, including PCBA testing and GSE design. You will write, review, and implement test plans and procedures on the production floor.

Responsibilities include non-conformance investigations, troubleshooting, and collaborating with Systems Engineering to document flight hardware tests. Strong technical writing and debugging skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering/STEM field or related area.
  • 0-2+ years environmental testing experience (Vibration, Thermal Vacuum, EMI) preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and communication abilities.
  • Ability to read engineering documentation and follow specs.
  • Ability to operate oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data acquisition devices.
  • Technical writing skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, write, review, and implement test procedures and SOPs.
  • Participate in non-conformance investigations.
  • Troubleshoot to determine failure and resolutions on non-conforming hardware.
  • Work with Systems Engineering to develop test requirements and flight hardware test documentation for production.
  • Assist with GSE selection and development.
  • Identify tasks with evolving requirements and minimal direction.
  • Develop hardware and software tools for the production line environment.
  • Ensure test procedures capture data for each test phase and review results.

Job description

Test Engineer will contribute to the Test process for spacecraft assemblies at the subsystem and system levels. Test types include thermal, TVAC, Vibration, and general pre/post environmental test processes. The Test Engineer will have hands-on experience with PCBA testing, ground support equipment (GSE) selection and design, systems level scripting and testing to support test operations on the production floor. The Test Engineer will write, write jointly, and review test plans and procedures for Tendeg antennas.Job Responsibilities:Develop, write, review, and implement test procedures and standard operating proceduresParticipate in non-conformance investigationsPerform troubleshooting to determine failure and resolutions on non-conforming hardwareWork with Systems Engineering to develop test requirements and documentation of flight hardware tests for implementation on the production floorSupport engineering in the handling and operation of flight hardware under testAssist with GSE selection and developmentIdentify and complete tasks with evolving requirements and minimal direction.Assist with the development, design, and implementation of hardware and software tools for the production line environmentEnsure test procedures capture all required data for each phase of the test campaign and review the results prior to the next test in the sequenceWrite test procedures used in environmental testingRed line Tendeg procedures as requiredMust have a strong attention to detailRequired Qualifications/Education:Bachelors degree in electrical, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, physics, or other related STEM field.0-2+ years environmental testing experience (i.e. Vibration, Thermal Vacuum, EMI), highly preferredDemonstrated strong problem solving and communication abilitiesAbility to read and work to engineering documentationAbility to independently operate oscilloscopes, power supplies, and data acquisition monitoring devicesTechnical writing skills requiredWorking ConditionsThis job operates in a professional office, laboratory, and manufacturing environment.
