Job summary

Algas-SDI in Kent, WA is seeking a hands-on lab engineer to own test programs for ASDI products. You will define, develop, and document test plans, execute FAT, high‑pressure, performance, and validation testing, and ensure equipment and procedures meet design and safety standards.

What You’ll Do

• Define, develop, and document test plans for all ASDI products — including custom units — across sales orders and engineering projects.
• Execute factory acceptance testing (FAT), high-pressure testing, performance, feasibility, and validation testing; confirm product capability against design requirements and applicable codes.
• Reduce and analyze test data; report findings and performance conclusions to engineering and support design changes driven by results.
• Establish and enforce safe test procedures and maintain lab equipment and data acquisition systems.

What You Bring

• BS in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline with 3–5 years of relevant experience
• Experience designing and building test stands and instrumentation, including data acquisition for pressure, flow, and temperature.
• Clear technical writing — your test reports are the primary output to engineering, and they need to be complete and decision-ready.

Physical Requirements

This is a hands‑on lab and shop role. Requires lifting 50–75 lbs., dexterity with tools and components, and exposure to heat, noise, pressurized systems, and moving machinery.
