CFD Research Corporation is seeking an experienced test engineer to support R&D at our Engineering Test Center near Huntsville, AL. You will be involved in conceptual design, prototyping, and testing across Army, Air Force, and Navy programs, including hypersonic ground tests and propulsion work.

Responsibilities include hands‑on troubleshooting, instrumentation work, and using control software like LabVIEW. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain security clearance are required.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field.
• Relevant coursework in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanics, and electrical/circuits.
• 1+ year experience in a prototype and test environment.
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with instrumentation and using a control software such as LabVIEW or Rockwell Automation.

Basic Qualifications

CFD Research Corporation is looking to add an experienced test engineer to the team to support research and development (R&D) at our Engineering Test Center, located a short distance from our Headquarters in Huntsville, AL. The position is a new role that will work on a growing team of engineers and technicians and will encompass conceptual design, prototyping, and testing phases in support of Army, Air Force, and Navy programs. Programs span hypersonic ground test, propulsion, flight hardware, and more. • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or related engineering field
• Relevant coursework in fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanics, and electrical/circuits
• 1+ years experience in a prototype and test environment
• Hands‑on experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems

Desired Qualifications

• Experience working on a multi‑disciplinary team of test technicians, machinists, design engineers, and analysts
• Experience developing and testing prototype hardware
• Experience with CNC machinery and fabrication tools/processes

Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and have ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.

Location

This role is based in Hollywood, AL and is 100% onsite.
