Job summary

Hyve Solutions in Fremont, CA is seeking a Test Debug & RCA Engineer to perform validation testing, troubleshoot hardware and firmware issues, and collect diagnostic data to support root-cause investigations on servers, compute, and networking racks.

You will support manufacturing, validation, and quality improvement activities, document findings, and assist senior engineers with corrective actions while maintaining failure-tracking records.

Job Summary

The Test Debug and RCA Engineer is responsible for executing validation tests, troubleshooting basic hardware and firmware issues, collecting diagnostic data, and supporting root cause investigations on server, compute and networking rack. This position provides support for manufacturing, validation, and quality improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities

Testing & Validation. Execute functional, stress, thermal, burn-in, and reliability tests on server and rack platforms. Validate CPU, memory, storage, networking, and GPU subsystems. Verify BIOS, BMC, and firmware functionality. Perform server bring-up and manufacturing qualification testing. Responsible for test process instructions (TPI) generation and production operator trainings.

Debug & Troubleshooting. Troubleshot hardware failures and test station issues. Collect BIOS logs, BMC logs, SEL logs, and Linux diagnostic information. Analyze system boot failures and hardware detection issues. Assist in reproducing customer and manufacturing failures.

Root Cause Analysis Support. Gather failure evidence and diagnostic data. Assist senior engineers in RCA investigations. Document findings and corrective action recommendations. Maintain failure tracking records.

Technical Skills

• BIOS configuration and firmware flashing.
• BMC/IPMI fundamentals.
• Basic networking concepts.
• Python scripting fundamentals.

Compensation & Benefits

• $90,000-140,000/yr based on experience
