Job summary

Nidec Drives is seeking production staff to operate equipment and assemble windings and components for electrical motors in Tennessee. Roles involve preparing cores, installing wires, phase sheets, thermocouples, RTDs, and ensuring quality and safety throughout the line.

Starting rate is $21.20 per hour with periodic increases up to $24.92 and a sign‑on bonus for skilled labor. Benefits include a 9% 401(k) contribution from Day 1, a technical incentive, paid holidays and paid vacation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write and follow work orders and specific instructions.

• Operate equipment and perform tasks to complete windings and winding components in electrical motors.
• Properly prepare cores to receive wiring.
• Properly install all individual parts including wires, slot winders, coil separators, and topsticks.
• Install phase sheets or felts, thermocouples or RTDs, RTPS and taps.
• Ensure proper material, assembly techniques and tolerances are being met.
• Make general decisions regarding quality of products and adjustments.
• Exercise good housekeeping in work area.
• Observe good safety practices.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader.

• Make general decisions regarding quality of products and adjustments.
• Exercise good housekeeping in work area.
• Observe good safety practices.
• Perform other job duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Leader.

Work Shifts & Compensation

• First shift: 7:00am – 3:30pm
• Second shift: 3:30pm – 10:30pm (35hr > get paid for 40hr + 5% shift premium)
• Third shift: 10:30pm – 7:00am (10% shift premium)

Starting rates: $21.20 per hour (increase every 3 months up to a cap of $24.92 + sign‑on bonus for skilled labor).
