Job description

About the Teams
Test (Stennis Space Center, MS):

The Stennis Test team designs, builds, and operates Relativity’s propulsion and stage test stands. Team members are hands‑on with large-scale, complex systems including fully integrated engines and stage assemblies, pushing hardware to the limits and directly contributing to flight readiness. The work is fast‑paced and highly operational, ideal for those with interests in aviation, automotive, manufacturing, offshore operations, industrial systems, construction, or adjacent industries. You’ll work in a close-knit, dynamic environment where collaboration between technicians, operators, and engineers is not only encouraged, but expected. As the company scales, the Stennis Test team becomes even more critical to unlocking our next phase of growth: proving out full-stage systems and paving the way for routine, reliable flights of Terran R.

Launch (Cape Canaveral, FL):

The Launch team operates at the intersection of every major aspect of Terran R, from stages and payloads to ground systems, launch, landing, and refurbishment. The Cape is the only place where you see it all come together, offering a level of exposure and responsibility unmatched elsewhere in the program. This is where first flights happen, where history is built on top of history, and where the scale of what's underway is unlike anything in modern aerospace. The mission stays the same, but the work evolves with every milestone: from first launch to reuse, high‑cadence operations, and beyond. If you're looking to define what's next in space launch and write a new playbook, not just repeat what’s already been done, this is where it happens.

Stennis Space Center and Cape Canaveral will require your own transportation.

About the Role
Design Focus
  • Take an active role in the development, build-up, activation, and operation of test stand or launch site GSE, including fluid systems
  • Supervise the construction, commissioning, and initial operations of these facilities
Operations Focus
  • Create, modify, and optimize test and launch sequences, procedures, and data review processes
  • Directly control and receive telemetry from the test stand or launch site through GUIs and an integrated software suite for control, automation, and data visualization
About You
  • Pursuing a degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • 1+ years relevant internship experience preferred, not required
  • To be successful in this role you need to be able to thrive in ambiguity, identify problems and quickly resolve them, and provide definition to the previously undefined
  • You will need to balance a scrappy, get-it-done attitude with a vision for long‑term processes required for scaling and efficiency
  • Hands‑on fabrication experience using common power tools for projects at work/home/school
  • Ability to work occasional night shifts
