Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Melbourne, FL seeks a Test & Evaluation Manager 2 to lead a 10-15 person section of engineers and managers. The role blends functional leadership with program duties, guiding agile processes and staff development across RAD programs.

Candidate will drive hiring, training, performance, and resource balance, while ensuring DoD testing standards, cloud and hybrid environments, and DoD compliance are met. Requires DoD Secret clearance and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in STEM with 9+ years combined technical/management experience, or Master’s with 7+ years.
• Experience with RF test equipment for system verification and validation.
• Experience generating test plans, procedures, and reports for DoD programs.
• Experience performing system verifications and validations for DoD programs.
• Experience in cloud-based, hybrid-cloud, on-premise, and virtualized environments.
• Experience leading an engineering team and Agile project management.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) has an opening for a Test & Evaluation Manager 2 position. The selected candidate will be responsible for the functional management of the Test & Evaluation Lab Cognizant Engineers, Lab Designers, Cyber Engineers, Software Engineers and Technicians supporting RAD programs in Melbourne, FL. This is a dual role Section Manager (Functional Role) and Individual contributor (Program Role).

Responsibilities Including (but Not Limited To) The Following

• Lead a section of Test & Evaluation engineers (10 -15 employees)
• Instruct, mentor and champion agile concepts and processes
• Be responsible for hiring, development, training, and retention of section talent. Hiring will include university and experienced hiring.
• Provide leadership and direction to team members and manage employee performance (including engagement strategies for higher performers and corrective actions for lower performers)
• Responsible for day-to-day operation of the organization including employee movement, balancing of resources among programs, and resolving critical/urgent program/technical issues.
• Promote the professional development of the Systems Engineering team and foster a collaborative culture that sustains the momentum around employee engagement and inclusion, affordability, innovation, value growth, and continuous improvement.
• Provide clear assignments, helps employees connect their efforts to the bigger picture, creates an inclusive work environment characterized by mutual respect and the valuing of differences, and builds a culture that motivates employees to their highest levels of performance.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 9 years of combined technical and management experience, or Master’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline from an accredited university and 7 years of combined technical and management experience.
• Must have experience with RF test equipment for system verification and validation.
• Must have experience generating test plans, procedures, test execution, lab testing, customer testing, formal qualification and reports for DoD programs.
• Must have experience performing system verifications and validations for DoD programs.
• Must have experience working in cloud-based, hybrid-cloud, on-premise, and virtualized environments.
• Experience leading an engineering team or project.
• Familiarity with AGILE/SCRUM Master, MBSE with CAMEO, DODAF 2.0 or similar.
• Must have a current DoD Secret clearance with a background investigation within the past 5 years or enrolled into Continuous Evaluation.
• Previous experience working in a SAP/SAR environment.
• Ability to obtain SAP access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.

• Modeling and Simulation
• Systems Analysis
• System Architecture
• Mission Integration
• Model Based Systems Engineering
• Familiarity with AFSIM Modeling and SIM.

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
