Job summary

CareFirst is seeking a software tester to work with the Technology team on validating and validating the functionality and performance of our software products. The role focuses on developing and executing test plans, test cases, and automated scripts while coordinating with developers, analysts, and product management.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant experience, plus roughly 2 years in testing or analysis, with a preference for healthcare domain knowledge

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or, in lieu, 4 years of relevant work experience.
2 years testing, functional analysis, or relevant analysis experience in software testing and applications.
Healthcare knowledge and automated testing are preferred.
Experience with Facets Claims is a plus.
Experience coding in SQL.

Responsibilities

Execute tests, track defects, and follow defects through resolution until fix is verified and closed.
Understand system functionality of the product being tested.
Interact with Developers, BAs, and Product Management to ensure software quality.
Learn basic test methodology, engineering, and product knowledge in certification of products.
Support weekly software and web deployments.
