Overview
The Department of Biosystems Engineering at Auburn University is seeking candidates for a TES Research Assistant. The selected candidate will provide technical support to biosystems engineering programs.
AU students are not eligible for TES.
Responsibilities
- Assist with Precision Agriculture work in the department
- Assist with managing Biosystems Engineering geospatial
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance of research and teaching equipment
- Assist with logistical operations that include equipment, materials and labor needs
- Record, compile, process, and analyze data/samples
- Assist with preparation of documents for publications and presentations
- Assist with execution of funded projects and planning of meetings
- Communicates with Biosystems Engineering faculty and staff, and appropriate offices regarding assessment data
- Assist with equipment inventories, and work orders
- Assist with execution of funded projects and planning of meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned by the department head
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biological and Agricultural Technology Management, Biosystems Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or other closely related technology field.
- Valid driver’s license.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of navigating equipment software, and ability to interpret output/results.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
