About Emery Jensen Distribution

We are a subsidiary of Ace Hardware Corporation, specializing in selling and distributing hardline products to independent Pro Lumber, Paint, Hardware, and E-retailer customers.

We are looking for a Territory Manager responsible for growing profitable sales with existing and new customers in the Midwest region. The role involves increasing sales through warehouse orders, sales opportunities, drop-ship programs, and promotional activities. The manager will develop tailored sales strategies, manage customer relationships, and act as a liaison between customers and Emery Jensen Distribution. Attendance at industry trade shows may be required.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Developing and executing strategic sales plans to meet sales and profit goals within a defined territory.
  2. Building strong relationships with business owners and decision-makers, with a minimum of monthly visits to core customers.
  3. Organizing weekly sales routes and calls to achieve objectives.
  4. Utilizing Salesforce to input leads, opportunities, and visit reports weekly.
  5. Conducting prospect visits (minimum 1-2 per week) and store visits (8-10 weekly).
  6. Representing Emery Jensen professionally and ethically.
  7. Communicating effectively with leadership and internal teams to support customer needs and share successes.
  8. Managing expenses judiciously.
Qualifications:
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented with customer-focused solutions.
  • Preferred 5+ years of B2B sales experience, with hardware sales and pro lumber experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel extensively, including overnight stays.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred.
Additional Information:
  • Travel required: at least 3 days per week.
  • Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and various mobility activities.
  • Salary range: $80,000 - $103,600.
