Job summary

Fabick Cat seeks a Territory Manager in Madison, Wisconsin to drive sales of Caterpillar equipment and related offerings. You will build relationships, present solutions, and manage the end-to-end sales cycle within defined territories.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in sales or related field, at least five years of equipment sales experience, and strong communication skills. Proficiency with Word and Excel is expected. On-site position with competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or related business field.
• 5 years sales experience, preferably in equipment sales.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about products, prices, availability, uses, and credit terms.
• Recommend products based on customer needs and interests.
• Contact regular and prospective customers to demonstrate products and solicit orders.
• Estimate or quote prices, terms, warranties, and delivery dates.
• Consult with clients after sales or contract signings to resolve problems and provide ongoing support.
• Prepare estimates and bids to meet specific customer needs.
• Identify prospective customers using directories, leads, clubs, and trade shows.
• Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' offerings.
• Maintain sales records, budgets and expense reports.
• Negotiate contract details and prepare sales contracts and order forms.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.
• Monitor market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales.
• Perform administrative duties, such as preparing sales budgets and reports, keeping sales records, and filing expense account reports.
• Negotiate details of contracts and payments, and prepare sales contracts and order forms.
• Any and all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing or related business field is required.
• 5 years sales experience preferably in equipment sales.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and other business software applications is required.
• The ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality is required.
