Job Summary

The Territory Managers’ primary responsibility will be to provide sales service and support to targeted end users, contractors, distributors, and consultants. Identify new business opportunities, perform solution-based selling, and transactional sales to generate demand for Oldcastle’s end-to-end solutions in the OSP and Premise Communications Market. This position will perform these duties to help achieve corporate revenue goals.

Job Location

  • This is a remote position located in the Texas area. Candidates must be located in either the Dallas, Houston, or Austin, TX metro markets. Travel for this position is 50% within the territory of Texas and Oklahoma.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop and manage profitable relationships with organization’s target accounts.
  • Work closely with Regional Sales Managers, Inside Sales, and Customer service.
  • Monitor competition by gathering marketplace information on pricing, products, and sales to market.
  • Provide pricing and create special estimates when needed to be competitive in the market within company policy, along with interpreting internal and external reports to help make these decisions.
  • Follow up on estimates with a strategy.
  • Have a clear understanding of the product portfolio to be able to professionally sell to the customer base and provide solutions to customer needs within the correct market.
  • Create an organizational behavior focused on defining customer needs, strategic direction, and selling Premise and Out-Side-Plant products and solutions while developing long-term customers.
  • Participate in product training to continue the enhancement of product knowledge.
  • Provide detailed upcoming meeting schedule and activity report to Directors on a weekly basis.
  • Participate in all required team conference calls.
  • Engage in technical solutions with clients through alignment with product management, RSM’s, and marketing by utilizing company marketing tools to educate and promote the company’s products and solutions.
  • Capture detailed information about accounts and opportunities in the company’s CRM database.
  • Develop a baseline knowledge of all competitors’ product offerings and how to position Oldcastle Infrastructure Comm Market products and solutions as superior to the competition.
  • Assure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Technical aptitude.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years professional experience in sales in the communications market.
  • Preferred experience with infrastructure products in the communication market.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team environment.
  • Understanding of Outside plant and Premise basic product applications.
  • Existing knowledge of the TX and OK communication market.
  • Familiarity with a variety of territory sales concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to learn builder/developer/communities’ broadband market.
  • Strong verbal, written presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, problem solver, highly motivated, and work well without constant supervision.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure; ability to maintain awareness of and seek to meet the needs and wants of the customer without being prompted.
  • Multi-tasking and analytical abilities to provide decisive solutions to customers.
  • High level of professionalism with strong leadership abilities.
  • CRM platform utilization to enhance sales.
  • Inside sales & outbound telephone and other communication sales experience.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding established goals and quotas and proficiency in solution selling.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of an inside and outside sales team, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong functional usage of MS Office and other internal applications.
  • Ability to travel (overnight) as required based on business needs approximately 50% of annual time.
