Job summary

Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, Inc. seeks an experienced field-based sales professional to drive IMCIVREE education for acquired hypothalamic obesity (aHO) in the Baltimore/DC region.

You will build relationships with key physicians, deliver scientifically grounded messages, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support patient enrollment and access. The role requires 6+ years in specialty pharma/biotech sales, strong communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 80%.

Qualifications

  • 6+ years of specialty pharmaceutical and/or biotech sales experience.
  • Rare disease experience preferred and launch experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate complex scientific data to healthcare professionals.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Execute disease and branded education to target HCPs.
  • Develop relationships with experts and specialists in the assigned geography.
  • Educate prescribers on enrollment and patient support tools and resources.
  • Collaborate with Medical Science Liaison and patient services teams.
  • Support attendance at education webinars and industry congresses.

Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced sales professional who is agile, flexible and able to navigate an evolving role while being passionate about Rhythm’s mission and vision.

  • You will have sales responsibility for IMCIVREE® for approved indications with a primary focus on Acquired Hypothalamic Obesity (aHO).
  • You will play an integral role providing ongoing education, in accordance with company policy, to a targeted physician community.

Candidate must reside in the territory geography (Baltimore or DC).

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Execute disease and branded education to target HCPs in alignment with company priorities and direction.
  • Develop strong relationships with experts and target specialists in assigned geography, ensuring delivery of clinically focused messages.
  • Collaborate with the patient services team to ensure that prescribers are educated about the process for enrollment and patient support tools and resources. Respond to requests for physician or medical practice education to improve medication adherence.
  • Support marketing driven educational webinars.
  • Collaborate with Medical Science Liaison to ensure that requests for medical information beyond the TM scope are appropriately submitted.
  • Fully comply with all compliance parameters and company code of conduct standards.
  • Conduct disease and/or branded education at industry related congresses at the national, regional or local level where applicable.
  • Ensure accurate capture and reporting of data in the CRM.
  • Engage in ongoing training to improve skills and optimize execution to meet yearly objectives.
  • Maximize budget allocated to the geographic territory to support execution of strategies and tactics to achieve business goals.
  • Accomplish all corporate and administrative responsibilities with high levels of commitment and efficiency, including Healthcare Compliance training, expense reports and other assignments by established deadlines.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 6+ years of specialty pharmaceutical and/or biotech sales experience.
  • Rare disease experience strongly preferred and launch experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of consistent performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments.
  • Ability to have a high command of scientific data and communicate it effectively to different health care professional audiences.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare regulatory and enforcement environments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong productive engagement of customers utilizing active listening.
  • Self-motivated, highly energetic and positive individual with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to succeed in a highly collaborative, agile environment by quickly adapting to evolving business needs and driving results with a sense of urgency to achieve shared goals.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong organizational and operational skills, with attention to detail and sound business judgment.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% as necessary.

This role is field-based. Candidates applying must be willing and able to travel frequently.

The expected salary range for this position is $135,000 - $215,000. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, level, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and company performance. This role may be eligible for benefits and other compensation such as restricted stock units.
