Job summary

Sugarloaf Mountain Corporation is seeking a Terrain Park Day Crew Supervisor to oversee the terrain park day crew and ensure safe, high‑quality experiences for guests. You will supervise loading, grooming, and maintenance of park features, and promote park etiquette and safety among visitors.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily grooming and feature maintenance, enforcing safety protocols, and completing park reports.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and maintain all terrain park features daily to reduce risk and hazards.
• Motivate and direct the day crew through workload and tasks.
• Perform laborer duties during terrain park construction (shoveling, lifting, raking, digging).
• Keep signage visible in the parks.
• Complete all required terrain park forms (e.g., Build Maps, Daily Terrain Park Opening Reports, Feature Placement Maps, Groomer Nightly Reports, Incident forms).
• Interact with guests to educate on terrain park etiquette; promote PEEPs and Park Smart.
• Monitor and maintain music, fencing, banners, and flags in the terrain park.
• Complete the Park Grooming Staff Park Report daily.
• Monitor features for risk and close unsafe features until maintenance can reopen them.
• Complete end-of-day closing procedures for all parks and features.

Overview

The Terrain Park Day Crew Supervisor oversees all terrain park day crew members. This position is key to the maintenance of all features in the terrain park in an effort to provide an enjoyable environment for our guests. This position’s goal is to provide all guests with the best possible terrain park experiences. This person helps educate park users in terrain park etiquette. He or she also maintains and monitors the energy in the terrain park through music, color, fencing, banners, flags, comradely, and events. As a customer focused organization, a crucial part of each employee’s job is to get and keep guests.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the daily examination and maintenance of all park features to reduce risk by eliminating hazards to terrain park users.
• Responsible for motivating and directing the day crew through their work load.
• Responsible for laborer duties during terrain park construction; shoveling, lifting, raking, digging.
• Keeping signage visible in the parks.
• Responsible for the completion of all terrain park related forms; including but not limited to: Build Map(s), Daily Terrain Park Opening Report(s), Terrain Park Feature Placement Map(s), Terrain Park Groomer Nightly Report(s), Post Incident Reopening Form(s), Terrain Park Staff Incident Comment form. As well as, any company equipment or vehicle forms.
• Required to interact and educate guests on terrain park etiquette, actively promote PEEPs and Park Smart.
• Monitoring and maintaining the designated music, fencing, banners, and flags.
• Complete Park Report daily for Park grooming staff.
• Responsible for monitoring all features for risk and closing any features that become unsafe to our guests until maintenance can be performed to reopen the feature.
• Complete all end of the day closing procedures of all parks and features.

Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
