Massanutten Resort in McGaheysville, VA is seeking a Terrain Attendant to assist with the design, construction, and maintenance of the Terrain Parks and Bike Park, and to support groundskeeping around the Mountain Sports area. The role requires 18+, a high school diploma, ability to work outdoors in all weather, strong guest service, and a commitment to safety.

Shifts include evenings during winter and weekends, with 20–30 hours per week (seasonal) or 30–40 hours (part-time) as applicable.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 18 years or older to work.
  • Ability to spend long hours outdoors maintaining attractions.
  • Basic knowledge of Snow/Bike Sports division policies and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of Leaf blower, Weed eater, and Mower usage.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close terrain parks/bike park, maintain, inspect, and repair features.
  • Notify and assist patrol with guest injuries or feature closures.
  • Communicate effectively with resort guests, staff, and management.
  • Maintain park features throughout the day.
  • Assist with installation, removal, or relocation of features.
  • Maintain a clean, trash free area.
  • Set positive example, educate guests on Park etiquette and the Responsibility Code.
  • Be aware of changing weather conditions, make sure all features are appropriately marked and tested.
  • Groundskeeping of Mountain Sports and surrounding area.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Job Summary

The Terrain Attendant helps with the design, construction, and maintenance of the Terrain Parks/Bike Park as well as the groundskeeping duties surrounding the Mountain Sports area. Individuals must promote courteous and professional guest relations while emphasizing safety. Good customer service and intermediate to expert snowboarding/skiing/biking skills make for stronger candidate. Must be 18 or older.

Required
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years or older
  • Ability to spend long hours outdoors maintaining attractions
  • Basic knowledge of Snow/Bike Sports division policies and procedures
  • Basic knowledge of Leaf blower, Weed eater, and Mower usage
Preferred
  • Experience in Terrain Park construction and maintenance
  • Experience with Hiking/Biking trail construction
  • Experience with light construction or landscaping
  • Valid driver’s license and approved driving record
  • Experience operating Heavy Machinery such as Mini-excavators, Skid steers etc.

Typical Schedule
Days:

Compensation:
  • Pay: $15.00/Hour
