Terrain Café, part of the URBN family, is a chef-driven restaurant seeking a dependable Dishwasher to support a fast-paced kitchen. This role ensures clean, sanitized service ware and equipment, helping maintain a safe and organized operation.

The Dishwasher will work in a climate of heat, humidity, and noise, contributing to overall kitchen rhythm and guest hospitality. Flexible scheduling and teamwork are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50+ lbs in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in a busy dish pit.
• Be dependable, punctual, and a strong team member.
• Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Operate commercial dish machines and sanitize dishes, tools, and equipment.
• Wash, organize and store dishware in designated locations.
• Handle dishes and glassware carefully to prevent breakage.
• Monitor dish machine performance and report issues to leadership.
• Maintain cleanliness in dish pit, floors, prep stations, and trash areas.
• Assist with deliveries, prep work, and general kitchen maintenance.
• Stay productive during slow periods by upholding cleanliness standards.

Role Summary

Terrain Café is a chef-driven, garden-to-table restaurant that celebrates seasonal ingredients and the art of gathering through thoughtful menus and warm, welcoming spaces rooted in craftsmanship and heartfelt hospitality.

We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Dishwasher to join our back-of-house team. This physically demanding role takes place in a fast-paced, temperature-variable environment. The Dishwasher is essential to ensuring that all service ware and kitchen equipment are clean, sanitized, and ready for use—helping maintain a safe, organized, and high-functioning kitchen. Behind the scenes, our Dishwasher plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, efficiency, and rhythm of kitchen operations.

Role Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dish machines and sanitize all dishes, tools, and kitchen equipment.
• Wash, organize, and properly store dishware in designated locations.
• Handle dishes and glassware carefully to avoid breakage.
• Monitor dish machine performance and report issues to kitchen leadership.
• Maintain cleanliness in dish pit, floors, prep stations, and trash/recycling areas.
• Remove trash and recyclables; keep dumpster area clean and tidy.
• Perform deep cleaning tasks such as scrubbing sinks, ovens, and kitchen surfaces.
• Keep cleaning supplies stocked and organized.
• Support the kitchen team by assisting with deliveries, prep work, and general maintenance.
• Stay productive during slower periods by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Take direction from chefs, supervisors, and managers as needed.

Role Qualifications

• Able to lift up to 50+ lbs. in a fast-paced, physically demanding kitchen setting.
• Able to stand, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in hot, wet, and loud environments.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.

• Flexible availability preferred- may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and select holidays.
