Job summary

Rentokil North America is seeking a Termite Technician to protect customers’ properties from wood-destroying organisms. You will perform inspections, prevention, and treatments as the first line of defense, communicating findings and ensuring safety and quality on every job.

You will work in varied environments, climb ladders, and wear PPE. A high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and customer service experience are required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license from state of residence.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Licenses or certificates as required by federal, state, and local regulations (provided by us).
  • Basic math skills for measurements and product labels.

Responsibilities

  • Identify customer’s termite problems and understand termite behaviors to determine remedial steps.
  • Perform termite treatment services safely according to guidelines and standard practices.
  • Apply anti-termite treatments to structures as scheduled and per label instructions.
  • Communicate critical conditions conducive to termite activity and discuss procedures or modifications.
  • Verify that job specifications are appropriate for each work order.
  • Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete production forms documenting services provided.
  • Interact with customers and explain services performed.

What do our Termite Technicians do?

Termite Technicians use their expertise to play a role in protecting customers properties from wood destroying organisms. As a Termite Technician you are the first line of defense in preserving and safeguarding customers' properties. The inspections, prevention, and treatment services that you provide will create peace of mind and comfort for our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Identify customer’s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
  • Perform termite treatment services safely and according to company guidelines and standard practices
  • Applying anti-termite treatments to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions
  • Communicate to the customer critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity discuss procedures and structural modifications, which may be supplemental to treatment process
  • Verifying that job specifications are appropriate for each work order
  • Operate and maintain service vehicles and equipment
  • Completing production forms documenting services provided
  • Interacting with customers and explaining services provided
Essential Job Functions
  • Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
  • Prepare the job site for treatment
  • Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders
  • You need to be comfortable working 20 feet up on a ladder along with working in small confined spaces
  • General laborer, carpentry, cement, roofing, gutter and attic experience is plus
  • Ability to work on roofs and high areas
  • Lots of moving around — regularly sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, up and down stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles
  • You’ll need to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), like an OSHA-compliant respirator, and you’ll need to be okay with regularly working in confined spaces, narrow aisles, or passageways (anywhere the critters live)
What do you need?
  • Clean shaven face- for safety reasons (rebreathers have to be able to seal your face)
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must possess a valid driver's license from state of residence (Company vehicle and gas card provided)
  • At least 1 years of customer service, experience in termite control is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Be flexible with working hours, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
  • Licenses/certificates as required by federal, state, and/or local regulations (covered by us)
  • Basic math skills — add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. You’ll need to be able to follow instructions for mixing on product labels
Base Pay Range

#ZipRTX Base Pay Range Hourly: $20.00 - $23.00 While starting pay falls within the given range, it can vary based on factors like geographic location, skills, education, and experience. Total earnings may also be affected by overtime, incentives, commissions, performance, and route assignment (where applicable).
