Job summary

Orkin in Greenville, SC is hiring an entry-level Pest Control Pro. You will join a team delivering safe, effective pest control services to homes and businesses and grow into a skilled professional through hands-on training.

No prior experience is required; the company provides paid training, a company vehicle, competitive pay, and a 401(k). You’ll support customers, follow route schedules, and obtain the required pesticide license within 90 days.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license required
• Ability to obtain the pesticide license within 90 days (company paid)
• Ability to work in the field independently and interact with customers

Responsibilities

• Complete required training and learn the skills to operate a pest control service route
• Prioritize safety in all responsibilities
• Drive a company vehicle and follow a route schedule within assigned territory
• Interact professionally with customers and coworkers
• Serve as a problem solver for customers with empathy and provide effective solutions
• Prepare and apply home or business services (attic remediation, crawlspace encapsulation, etc.)
• Explain the process to customers to ensure satisfaction
• Complete service-related documentation using handheld device

Where and how will you serve customers?

• Complete our award-winning company paid training and learn the skills required to be responsible for the daily operation of a pest control service route to become a Pro
• Prioritize safety in all responsibilities
• Drive a company vehicle and follow a route schedule within assigned territory, ensuring timely and safe arrival at each customer
• Conduct yourself with the utmost professionalism and integrity with customers and coworkers
• Serve as a problem solver for each customer with empathy by listening to and understanding their needs and utilizing Orkin Pro expertise to recommend the most efficient and innovative solution
• Prepare and install home or business services to include, but not limited to, attic remediations, crawlspace encapsulations, gutter protection, and radiant heat barrier for energy efficiency
• Interact with customers in their home or business by setting project expectations and walking them through the process to ensure satisfaction
• Complete all required service-related documentation and leverage your hand-held device provided for speed and accuracy

What will my work environment be like?

Candidates must meet physical job requirements and safely perform the job duties with or without accommodations:

• Safely use a ladder within the manufacturer's weight capacity
• Occasionally lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Safely access crawl spaces, attics, confined spaces, roof tops, etc. including the ability to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) which sometimes requires an OSHA-compliant respirator
• Willing to work in different types of weather conditions
