Job summary

Rentokil North America, Inc. is seeking a motivated Termite Technician to join our field team in Cary, North Carolina. You will identify termite problems, communicate findings to customers, and implement treatment plans while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will work with customers in homes and commercial settings, document activities, and maintain equipment in good working order. Join a company that offers a comprehensive benefits program, on-the-job training, and opportunities

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 2+ years in customer service; termite control experience is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Availability Monday–Friday and Saturdays as needed.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required.
  • Must possess valid driver's license

Responsibilities

  • Identify termite problems and understand termite behaviors to determine steps.
  • Communicate critical conditions and discuss procedures to customers.
  • Enter and exit structures, crawl spaces, and access areas as needed.
  • Operate inspection equipment, hand tools, and power drills.
  • tolerate various environmental conditions and maintain vehicle/equipment.

What do our Termite Technicians do?
  • Identify customer’s termite problems and have knowledge of termite behaviors and habits to determine remedial steps
  • Communicate to the customer critical conditions that are conducive to termite activity discuss procedures and structural modifications, which may be supplemental to treatment process
  • Enter and exit structures and crawl spaces; climb over and on top of structures; ascend and descend stairs and ladders
  • Use application and inspection equipment; small hand tools and power hammer drills
  • Tolerate a variety of environmental conditions, including seasonal weather, damp and/or dusty locations
  • Operate and maintain your equipment and vehicle in a state of cleanliness and good working order
What do you need?
  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of customer service, experience in termite control a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
  • Be flexible with working hours, Monday-Friday and Saturdays as needed
  • Ability to obtain and maintain licenses/certificates as required by federal, state and local regulations
  • Must posses valid driver's license from state of residence
