Road & Rail Services is seeking a hands-on Terminal Manager to lead our Vehicle Processing operation in Huntsville, Alabama. You will manage daily site performance, safety, staffing, training, and customer expectations while driving results.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of management experience, a track record on P&L, and the ability to oversee 25–50 associates in a fast-paced, industrial setting such as automotive processing or logistics. Railroad experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management oversight for assigned vehicle processing operations.
• Direct and support supervisors, leads, and hourly associates to achieve daily operational goals.
• Manage an operation of approximately 25–50 associates.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FRA, and DOT regulations.
• Maintain compliance with safety policies, procedures, and site SOPs.
• Ensure employees receive appropriate job-specific training and understand established work procedures.
• Monitor productivity, labor utilization, quality, staffing, and overall site performance.
• Manage financial performance and P&L responsibilities.
• Identify performance gaps and develop corrective action plans when necessary.
• Maintain a strong focus on workplace safety and accountability.
• Build productive relationships with customers and company leadership.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, employee development, performance management, and retention.
• Respond to operational issues and adjust staffing or workflow based on business needs.

Lead a Fast-Paced Vehicle Processing Operation

Road & Rail Services is seeking an experienced Terminal Manager to lead our vehicle processing operation in Huntsville, Alabama. This is a hands-on leadership position for a manager who is comfortable being present in the operation, developing employees, managing performance, and taking ownership of overall site results.

The Terminal Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the operation, including safety, staffing, training, productivity, quality, customer expectations, and financial performance. We are looking for a leader who can balance operational demands with employee development while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Candidates with management experience in automotive processing, logistics, transportation, manufacturing, warehousing, railroad operations, distribution, or other high-volume industrial environments are encouraged to apply. Railroad experience is beneficial but not required.

Key Responsibilities

As Terminal Manager, you will:

What We're Looking For

Qualified candidates should have:

3+ years of management-level experience

Previous responsibility for P&L and operational performance

Experience managing approximately 25–50 employees

Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Experience working in a production-driven, logistics, transportation, automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environment

Railroad or vehicle processing experience is a plus

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced operation

A valid driver's license when operating company vehicles or equipment

Ability to safely operate both automatic and standard-transmission vehicles when required

Work Environment & Schedule

This is an on-site, working management position within an active vehicle processing operation. The Terminal Manager must be comfortable spending time in the operation and working alongside the management team.

The position requires the ability to:

Work outdoors in changing weather conditions, including heat, cold, dust, and noise

Maintain a flexible schedule based on customer and operational requirements

Work weekends and holidays when necessary

Be available for on-call responsibilities

Climb various types of ladders to heights exceeding 16 feet

Safely wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
