Job summary

Air Force Civilian Service in Clovis, NM seeks a full-time Air Traffic Controller (Terminal), GS-2152-11, at Cannon AFB to manage the TERPS program and provide VFR ATC services near the airport.

This government position requires US citizenship, a current FAA ATC certification, and eligibility for a Secret clearance. Special Salary Rate: $86,000–$111,000; incentives may be available; probation or trial periods apply.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required.
• Must possess current and valid FAA/ATC certification.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret security clearance.
• This is a designated drug testing position.
• TERPS experience desired; training may be provided in-residence/on-the-job.
• Supervisory experience is highly desired.
• Knowledge of ATC procedures, FAA/Air Force publications and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the TERPS Program.
• Provide visual flight rules (VFR) ATC services near the airfield.
• Ensure safe, orderly, and expeditious flow of air traffic.
• Apply TERPS criteria and ATC procedures; maintain currency.
• Coordinate with AF/FAA documents and equipment standards.
