Job summary

Oregon State University is seeking one or more fixed-term, non-tenure-track instructors to teach on a term-by-term basis for the 2026-2027 academic year. Positions may be reviewed for renewal or transition to instructional roles.

Appointments at Instructor rank are anticipated, with possible promotion based on qualifications. The department emphasizes ecological and engineering education with a focus on inclusivity and outreach to partners in agriculture and natural resources.

Qualifications

• MA/MS or higher in Ecological, Environmental or Civil Engineering or related field.
• Evidence of teaching experience at the college or university level.
• Commitment to inclusive excellence and educational equity.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses (varying by term; see class list).
• Teach in class, via Zoom or eCampus 1–5 days a week depending on course.
• Schedule and organize Lab courses as appropriate.
• Schedule and organize field trips as appropriate.
• Grade all assignments and homework for course.
• Work with Head Advisor to collect required course documentation for accreditation.
