Skill: Teradata Developer

Must have:

10+ years experience with data analysis and engineering on Teradata data-warehouse and analytical platforms.
Experience analyzing researching complex data issues.
Extensive experience developing Teradata SQL-based ETL and analytic workflows using native utilities (bteq, tpt, fastexport).
Good experience developing complex analytics dashboards using Tableau and/or similar Business Intelligence and Visualization tools.
Very good knowledge of Unix/Linux shell Scripting and scheduling (like Autosys).
Knowledge and experience working with CI / CD based development and deployment JIRA, BitBucket.
Excellent written, proactive communication and diagramming skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly technical and experienced Application Developer / Data Engineer to support the design, architecture and development of Enterprise Information / Data Science.

Products owned and operated by the Enterprise Data Science Technology (EDST) team.

This role will specifically support the FDIC / Liquidity Capital Ratio Entity Classification Regulatory Rules.

Engine products for the EDST systems engineering / application development team supporting.

Global Liquidity Risk Management (GLRM) and FDIC Deposits Insurance function. Qualified candidates must be well-versed in complex data analysis, coding, data engineering using SQL (Teradata) based programs.

Responsibilities

Typically 10+ years of experience.
Use advanced data skills and experience with complex data analysis and reporting using SQL (Teradata) with in-depth knowledge and experience in data extractions, and processing (data transformations).
Work directly with line of business teams to understand requirements, and code technical solutions / methods for data sourcing, transformation and provisioning.
Ability to analyze data problems and identify both tactical and strategic solutions to resolve them to accomplish business goals.
Code solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
Design/develop/maintain test suites for product/user acceptance testing.
Designs key data quality indicators and internal controls in accordance with established thresholds, standards, and policies.
Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource - should be ready to get into the weeds of the code, analyze and research data and optimization problems, discuss technical details with the development/support team.
Provides tech knowledge and capabilities as team member and individual contributor, but also responsible for instructing, directing, and checking the quality and timeliness of other systems professionals, including offshore resources.
May lead multiple projects with competing deadlines. Should have excellent organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to influence decisions to achieve desired results.
Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from manager.
