Job summary

The Department of Neurosurgery at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, seeks candidates for an Associate or Full Professor tenure-track position. The ideal candidate will relate neural circuit dynamics to computational brain processes within translational neuroengineering, including brain–computer interfaces.

Responsibilities include teaching graduate students, medical students, residents and fellows, and leading a research program on computational modeling of neural data

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent degree is required.
• Expertise in relating neural circuit dynamics to computational processes in the brain for translational neuroengineering.
• Experience with brain-computer interfaces and translational neuroscience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate students, medical students, residents and fellows as part of the department mission.
• Lead a cutting‑edge research program on computational modeling of neural recordings in humans and animals to decipher neural computations underlying movement, memory, and perception.
