Job summary

Fashion Institute of Technology invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Writing Studies with a primary focus on Business and Professional Writing and first-year composition pedagogy. The candidate will also engage with AI literacy, digital rhetorics, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The role includes teaching a mix of first-year and third-year writing courses, developing curricula with emerging technologies, and assuming writing program leadership

Qualifications

• PhD in Writing Studies or Composition & Rhetoric; ABDs considered with defense required before start.
• Record of academic research, publication, and successful college-level teaching in online or hybrid environments.

Responsibilities

• Teach and develop writing and rhetoric courses in Business and Professional Writing and first-year composition.
• Provide leadership for the Writing Program and coordinate with related programs and studios.
• Participate in program administration and service duties within the department.
