Job summary

Brown University in Providence, RI invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Structural Biology. The successful candidate will build an independent program in biomolecular structure biology and connect with RNA Biology, Aging, and Alzheimer's research efforts.

They will also serve in the Structural Biology Core Facility, fostering collaborations across the Division of Biology and Medicine.

Qualifications

• Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in Biochemistry, Biophysics, Structural Biology, Cell Biology, or a closely related discipline.
• Postdoctoral experience demonstrating a strong track record of scholarly research achievement in structural biology.
• Demonstrated ability or clear potential to establish a nationally recognized, externally funded research program in structural biology.
• A strong commitment to undergraduate and graduate education with the ability to teach Biochemistry, Cell Biology, or Genetics.

Responsibilities

• Bridge connecting several Brown research centers: RNA Biology, Aging, and Alzheimer's Disease.
• Serve as a primary user, advocate, and key contributor to the shared Structural Biology Core Facility.
• Drive high-impact collaborative research across the Division of Biology and Medicine.
