The Barney School of Business at the University of Hartford invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sport Management beginning August 2027. A Ph.D. in Sport Management or related field is required; ABD candidates will be considered if degree is completed by Sept 2027.

Teaching will occur on-site and online for undergraduate and graduate programs. The successful candidate will sustain an active scholarly agenda with publications and presentations, serve on committees,

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Sport Management or related discipline; ABD considered if completed by Sept 2027.
• Experience teaching sport management and related business courses, on-site and online.
• Evidence of quality scholarly activities and strong teaching/communication skills.
• Ability to incorporate technology in teaching and a commitment to inclusive excellence.

Responsabilités

• Teach courses in Sport Management and related business disciplines, on-site and online.
• Maintain a four-course teaching load per semester.
• Sustain an active scholarly research agenda with publications and conferences.
• Serve on department, college, and university committees.
• Advise students on coursework and career development.
• Foster inclusive excellence and belonging within the department.
