Qualifications

• Earned doctoral degree in Special Education or a closely related field (conferred by August 1, 2027)
• Professional experience as a Special Education teacher
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive instructional practices in educational settings and culturally responsive practices
• A scholarly agenda
• Expertise in one or more of: evidence-based instructional practices for moderate disabilities, literacy instruction for students with disabilities, diagnostic and educational assessment for students with disabilities, IEP development and implementation, autism interventions and family collaboration

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Special Education across multiple modalities
• Advise teacher candidates in pre-practicum and practicum settings
• Engage in scholarship and contribute to program development and accreditation
• Develop and maintain partnerships with local schools and districts to support practicum experiences
