Job summary

The Media School at Indiana University Bloomington invites applications for a tenure-track faculty member to study the relationships among media, behavior, and health, starting August 1, 2027. We welcome work across topics at the intersection of media, health, and well-being, including health communication, social media, stigma, and health misinformation.

The successful candidate will maintain an active research program, teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students on a 2-2 load, and

Qualifications

• ABD applications considered, but Ph.D. in communication, media, psychology, public health, or a related field must be completed by the date of appointment.
• Demonstrated potential for research productivity in areas related to media, behavior, and health.
• Effective teaching skills adaptable to undergraduate and graduate learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a productive and theoretically significant research program.
• Teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students on a 2-2 teaching load.
• Engage in service to the university, profession, and wider community; pursue interdisciplinary collaborations.
