Job summary

San Diego State University’s Fowler College of Business seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sales and Strategy to begin August 18, 2027. The hire will contribute to teaching and develop a vigorous research agenda with output in top venues.

Candidates should demonstrate ability to engage with the business community and to teach both graduate and undergraduate courses. A doctorate in Marketing or a related field is required by Fall 2027, with excellence in research and service.

Qualifications

• Record of original research / scholarly / creative accomplishments and demonstrated capacity to a) develop a vigorous and independent program of research / scholarship / creative activity, b) teach graduate and undergraduate courses; and c) engage in both campus and professional service activities.
• Demonstration of past accomplishments and/or future plans in at least two (2) or more of the Building on Inclusive Excellence criteria.

Responsibilities

• Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in sales and strategy.
• Engage with the business community and industry stakeholders.
• Maintain an active, innovative research agenda with regular publications in refereed journals.
• Contribute to service at the department, college, and university levels.
