Job summary

The University of Georgia seeks a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor in Environmental Health Science and the Institute of Gerontology. The position features a 51%/49% joint appointment with CARE Center opportunities and requires teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.

Starting by August 1, 2027, with the possibility to supplement salary during the summer, the successful candidate will advance One Health and aging research while contributing to both departments and the CARE Center.

Qualifications

• A doctoral degree in environmental health, gerontology, computational neuroscience, neurobiology, or a related discipline.
• At least two years of work experience after PhD (postdoctoral or teaching).
• Must be eligible for tenure and capable of teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.

Responsibilities

• Tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor with teaching responsibilities for undergrad and grad courses.
• Joint appointment between the Department of Environmental Health Science (51%) and Institute of Gerontology (49%), with CARE Center involvement.
• Starting date by August 1, 2027, with potential summer salary supplementation.
