Job summary

Northwestern University’s Human Development and Social Policy program invites applications for a faculty position at the assistant or associate level to advance understanding of institutions, organizations, and social policy across the lifespan.

The successful candidate will maintain a rigorous research program, teach broad survey courses on organizations, institutions, and social policy, and engage with diverse methods including quantitative, computational, and qualitative approaches.

Qualifications

• Applicants welcome with theoretical and empirical depth in institutions and social policy.
• Experience teaching undergrad and graduate courses on organizations, institutions, and policy.
• Expertise in quantitative, computational, or qualitative methods is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a rigorous research program on organizational and institutional dynamics related to social policy and human development.
• Teach and advise undergraduate and graduate students in courses on organizations, institutions and policy.
• Engage in quantitative, computational, and/or qualitative research methods.
• Collaborate across disciplines to advance social policy and development research.
