Position SummaryThe Business Law and Ethics department at the Kelley School ofBusiness, Indiana University-Bloomington, seeks applications fortenured/tenure-track positions effective Fall 2027. The candidate(s)selected will join a well-established department of 29 full-timefaculty members who research and teach a variety of business lawtopics at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Departmentalfaculty regularly publish in top law and business journals and areknown for teaching excellence. The breadth of the department’scurrent research and teaching interests span corporate compliance,employment, health, intellectual property, securities, sports, andtechnology law, white collar crime, critical thinking, and businessethics.
We welcome candidates with broad research and teaching interests inbusiness law and ethics. Specifically, we are looking to hirefaculty member (s) in the general area of business law and ethics(broadly defined), and faculty member(s) specializing in corporatefinance, tax, and/or mergers and acquisitions.
Basic QualificationsPosition(s) are anticipated to be at the assistant professor rank,though appointment at a higher rank could occur if a candidate’srecord warrants. To be qualified, a candidate must have a J.D.degree with an excellent academic record (or, in the case ofsomeone hired at the assistant rank, must demonstrate the potentialto publish in top law reviews or peer-reviewed business journals),be an outstanding teacher, provide meaningful service, andcontribute positively to a multicultural campus.
