The University of Rhode Island invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Industrial and Systems Engineering (Advanced Manufacturing Operations). The candidate will establish a nationally and internationally recognized research program, teach undergraduate and graduate courses, and contribute to ABET accreditation and program development.

Responsibilities include pursuing sponsored projects, mentoring MS/PhD students, and collaborating with labs on digital twins, cyber-physical systems,

Qualifications

• Demonstrated record of scholarly achievement in advanced manufacturing operations and/or autonomous systems.
• Evidence of teaching excellence at undergrad/grad levels in industrial and systems engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.

Responsabilités

• Develop and lead an externally funded research program in ISE areas.
• Teach undergrad and graduate courses in ISE and related topics.
• Advise and mentor MS/PhD students; participate in committees and ABET activities.
• Contribute to ABET accreditation efforts and program assessment.
• Engage with Rhode Island industry to build sponsored research and student opportunities.
