Job summary

The compensation range is $110,000–$160,000 on a 9-month academic basis, with rank- and skills-based final salary. The role is housed in the Helen Bader School of Social Welfare and related units.

Qualifications

• PhD/Doctorate in social work or related field.
• Ability to meet rank of a tenured associate or full professor in the Department of Social Work at UWM with a strong record of research, teaching, and service.
• Proven success in securing external research funding, preferably federal funding in areas of applied AI.
• Demonstrated commitment to fostering inclusive environments and supporting the success of students, including historically underrepresented students.

Responsibilities

• Produce scholarship in an important area of social work research.
• Advance interdisciplinary AI and Data Science research at UWM.
• Collaborate with NMDSI to address real-world challenges.
• Innovate and expand AI and Data Science educational programs.
