Job summary

Rhode Island College invites applications for an open-rank, tenure-track faculty position in Operations Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses including operations management, project management, and quality assurance, as well as engaging in scholarly research.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. or D.B.A. in a related field, teaching experience, and a strong interest in both teaching and research. Comprehensive health benefits and wellness incentives are included.

Qualifications

• Earned master’s degree or equivalent and currently pursuing a terminal degree.
• Full authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Teach three courses per semester with small class sizes for interaction.
• Advise up to 30 students through their management programs.
• Conduct scholarly research leading to publications in peer-reviewed journals.
• Collaborate collegially with other faculty members.

Skills

Teaching experience at the college level

Industry experience in an asset-based environment

Interest in both teaching and researching

Ability to teach in-person, hybrid, or online

Education

Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Operations Management or related field

ABD with a credible plan to complete the dissertation
