Job summary

Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions in One Health. Candidates should have active research programs and prefer virology, vector-borne diseases, infectious diseases, or host-pathogen interactions.

Preference given to Assistant Professor level, with consideration for Associate Professor for highly qualified individuals. The Department of Biological Sciences has a large undergraduate enrollment and a strong graduate program.

Qualifications

• Experience working with undergraduate and/or graduate student researchers.
• Demonstrated experience in biomedical research.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain active research programs funded externally.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses (e.g., One Health, Microbiology, Immunology, Vector-borne diseases).
• Contribute to service in the department and interdisciplinary activities.
