Job summary

Temple University’s Alzheimer’s Center seeks candidates for a tenure-track faculty role at Assistant or Associate Professor level. Research focuses on mechanisms and/or therapeutic targets for Alzheimer's disease, brain aging, dementias, and ADRD.

Strong publication records and NIH/private funding pathways are expected. Applicants should have an established research program in neurobiology of aging/AD and may utilize animal models, cell culture, omics, or translational approaches.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent degree.
• Established independent research program; pathway to independence funding from NIH or private foundations.
• Strong record in biology of neurodegenerative diseases or neuroscience with focus on Alzheimer’s/ADRD.

Responsibilities

• Devote primary effort to performing creative, high-impact studies.
• Pursue extramural funding to support research activities.
• Establish an independent research program with the potential for NIH or private funding.
