University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Medical Anthropology with a focus on health and well-being. The successful candidate will conduct ethnographic research, teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cultural, biocultural, and medical anthropology, and develop new courses in health anthropology.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Cultural Anthropology or related field required or ABD status with completion expected before start.
• ABD candidates will be considered.
• Credentials must be obtained prior to the start date.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in cultural, biocultural, and medical anthropology.
• Develop an upper-division course in the anthropology of health and well-being.
• Collaborate with faculty and graduate students across subdisciplines and units such as the School of Public Health.
