Montana State University’s Department of Mathematical Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematics starting August 2027. Qualifications

• Ph.D. in mathematics or a closely related field by start date.
• Demonstrated research potential in computational or applied mathematics.
• Demonstrated teaching potential in mathematics.
• Demonstrated potential to mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a productive research program leading to high-quality publications.
• Teach lower-division, upper-division, and graduate courses in mathematics.
