The Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering seeks a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor in Materials Engineering, to begin in August 2026. The candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses and build a robust research program with undergraduate and MS students.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Materials Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• A record of or strong potential for scholarly agenda and teaching effectiveness.
• Awareness of and sensitivity to diverse student populations.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses including laboratory and service courses.
• Develop a research program involving undergraduate and MS students.
• Submit grant proposals and manuscripts to peer-reviewed journals.
• Participate in shared governance and service assignments.
• Organize classes within the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS).
• Demonstrate awareness of diverse student needs through inclusive materials and teaching.
