North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC is seeking an Assist/Associate Professor to teach in the School of Law. The position is tenure-track with initial two-year appointment; teaching at the J.D. level and contributing to curriculum development are expected.

The candidate should have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, strong writing and oral communication skills, and ability to work with a diverse student body. Final candidates require background checks and verification.

Responsabilidades

• The Faculty will develop and design curriculum plans to foster learning, stimulate class discussions, and ensure student engagement.
• The Faculty will provide tutoring and academic counseling to students, maintain class related records, and assess student coursework.
• Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students.
• The Faculty will conduct research in a particular field of knowledge, and publish findings in professional journals, books, and/or electronic media.
