Job summary

Western New England University School of Law invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position beginning in the 2027–2028 academic year. The successful candidate will teach Contracts or Civil Procedure and one or more business law courses, including Business Organizations, Secured Transactions, or UCC courses. The teaching load is 12–13 credits per academic year.

Applicants must hold a J.D. or equivalent, demonstrate academic achievement, and show potential for scholarly research.

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA-approved law school or foreign equivalent.
• Significant practice experience; judicial clerkship preferred.
• Ability to teach in-person and via distance learning.
• Ability to engage groups and individuals in classroom settings.
• Broad knowledge to cover core courses; depth in at least one specialization.
• Proficiency with Learning Management Systems for distance learning.
• Ability to grade exams, papers and other assignments.
• Proficiency with standard computer tools for academic work.

Responsibilities

• Teach Contracts or Civil Procedure and one or more business law courses.
• Teach in-person and distance-learning formats.
• Maintain an active scholarly agenda and participate in conferences and writing projects.
• Contribute to a student-centered, collaborative academic environment.
