Job summary

Eastern Connecticut State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Latin American History. The successful candidate will teach introductory world history surveys and a variety of upper-division Latin American history courses to serve the Latin American Studies Program.

Preference will be given to candidates who can contribute to the department’s digital history program and assist in community engagement efforts. A Ph.D.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. in Latin American History or related field must be in hand by start date (Aug 2027).
• Prepare and teach introductory world history surveys and upper-division Latin American history courses.
• Contribute to Latin American Studies Program and interdisciplinary core seminars.

Responsibilities

• Teach a range of upper-division Latin American history courses.
• Offer courses for the Liberal Arts core curriculum and interdisciplinary seminars.
• Support the department's digital history program and community engagement initiatives.
