The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at UT Austin invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Advanced Assistant Professor of International Economic Policy to begin in Fall 2027-28. The appointee will teach across Ph.D., MPP, MGS, and BA programs and contribute to scholarly research in international economics and policy.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in a related field or expect to complete by August 2027. ABD considered.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required in a relevant field.
• ABD candidates will be considered if the doctoral degree is completed by start date.
• Evidence of college teaching and scholarly work is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in international economics and trade across multiple programs (Ph.D., Master of Public Policy, Master of Global Policy Studies, BA).
• Develop and publish scholarly research; pursue grant opportunities for research and teaching activities.
• Contribute to faculty governance and participate in LBJ School committees.
