Job summary

Kent State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor of Interior Design. The position focuses on teaching studios that integrate advanced technologies with human-centered design and developing a program of research and/or creative work.

Minimum qualifications include an advanced degree in Interior Design or related discipline and demonstrated teaching experience, with a view toward national reputation in scholarly or creative practice within the interior

Responsibilities

Teach design studios that integrate advanced technologies with human-centered design.

Contribute to the advancement of the Interior Design program, college, and discipline.
Teach foundational and/or advanced interior design studios; digital applications; methods and materials; building systems.
Align courses with the candidate's research or creative expertise.
