Temple University’s Center for Microbiology and Immunology at Lewis Katz School of Medicine in Philadelphia invites applications for a tenure-track faculty scientist or physician-scientist at the Assistant to Full Professor level. The successful candidate will lead an independent, extramurally funded research program at the intersection of microbiology, immunology, and human disease.

Qualifications

• Qualified applicants will have Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degrees, demonstrating the ability to develop an independent, extramurally funded research laboratory.
• Must have an active research program in the areas of immune system and microbes, infectious diseases, autoimmune disorders, neurodegenerative conditions or related fields.
• Possess academic credentials for a faculty appointment as Assistant Professor or Associate Professor.
• Current publications in respectable peer-reviewed journals.
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills, experience writing NIH grants preferred.
• Experience mentoring undergraduate and graduate students is preferred.
• Physician-scientists must be BE/BC in Internal Medicine and eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
