Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Graphic Design or related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in graphic design/visual communication with teaching/professional experience may count.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Illustrator, InDesign, and industry tools like Microsoft Office and Figma.
• Understanding of UX design for digital apps and products; typography across print and digital media.
• Proven teaching excellence, scholarship, and professional activity.
• Ability to collaborate with faculty and students in a collegial environment.
• Commitment to growing and developing the Graphic Design Program.

Responsibilities

• Teach 15–18 contact hours per semester (3 studio classes).
• Teach all levels in the Graphic Design Program.
• Participate in program assessment, development, and advancement.
• Contribute to spaces, studios, and resources to support pedagogy.
• Curriculum development, accreditation, and annual assessment.
• Advise and mentor undergraduate Design majors.
• Engage in creative and scholarly activity.
• Support department recruitment efforts.
• Engage in professional service to department, college, university, and community.
• Establish relationships with community and industry partners for internships and projects.
• Assume other duties as needed.
